Inhalation Therapy

Certain medicines are more effectively delivered to the body by vaporizing them and inhaling them.

One of them is glutathione - one of the most important molecules in the body for detoxification, cellular repair and immune system balance. Taking glutathione orally is not well absorbed however it is well absorbed through inhalation. Inhalation therapies are safe, effective methods for treating lung disease as well as a variety of other health conditions. Some of the conditions for which nebulization (inhalation machine you see to the right) is used are:

  • chronic lung diseases of various kinds (e.g. bronchitis, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, cystic fibrosis, emphysema, etc.)
  • chronic ear infections
  • chronic runny nose
  • multiple chemical sensitivity disorder (MCSD)

Contraindications for nebulized glutathione are known sulfite sensitivity and bronchial asthma.

If you have any questions regarding this treatment, please call us and we would be happy to answer them.

The nebulizer used in Inhalation therapy

This is the nebulizer which is attached with tubing to the mask that you wear through which the medicine is inhaled. Each patient is given their own mask which they bring with them. The treatment takes approximately 20 minutes.
