Increasin gly I’m getting questions about estrogen cream for the face — can it actually reduce wrinkles and other signs of skin aging for women in midlife and beyond? As always, my mission is to boil down the science and separate out the marketing hype so that you can make up your own mind as to whether this is something you’d like to consider

Why the spike in interest?

Recently there have been hormone doctor influencers promoting estrogen creams for the face on social media, so it’s no surprise there’s curiosity popping up in my patient visits, DMs and inbox, because if it’s safe and effective, why not consider this new-to-the-scene option for reducing signs of aging? The thing is, it’s critical to look at the evidence—and any conflicts of interest—before recommending such products. So let’s crack at it!
