Dr. Smith uses various laboratories to assist with clinical assessment and diagnosis.
Below are some of the labs she currently works with:
Detoxification impairment testing, solvents toxicity testing, celiac disease testing, amino acid tests (protein building-blocks that are essential for brain neurochemistry), essential fats
Salivary sex hormones (if blood isn't an option) adrenal testing, and urine tests for neurotransmitter status. Neurotransmitters like serotonin, dopamine, and epinephrine to name a few are analyzed through urine.
All of the standard blood testing is done with Life Labs (for example iron, B12, cholesterol, etc.) as well as specific allergy tests.
NCNM SIBO clinic:
Lactose intolerance testing and lactulose breath tests for SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth)
Stool samples of any kind including urinalysis for toxic heavy metals
Rocky Mountain Analytical
Food Allergy and Intolerance Testing, environmental pollutants panel, heavy metals (urine)
Gastrointestinal panels (stool, saliva) and the Adrenal Stress Index
Micronutrient status testing that evaluates the key 35 vitamins, minerals and amino acids, which, if at depressed levels can cause myriad health problems from unexplainable fatigue to serious disease.
